The combination of herkimer diamond quartz and calcite is quite rare, especially with gemmy calcites attached. Clearly visible withing the calcite crystal are marcasite inclusions. The provenance is superb as well. Truly a little gem ! The calcite measures 34 x 26 mm. and the Herkimer 50 x 33 mm. The perfect addition to a specialized quartz collection, although it stands very well from the purely aesthetic standpoint.
